Sales Executive – Marketing Automation

Role Overview

Celerity is looking for a full-time Sales Executive, with domain expertise in Marketing Automation, such as Adobe’s Marketing Cloud, to work with new prospects and sell Celerity’s full portfolio of consulting  & technology services.  This position is a strategic, high impact contributing role and the Sales Executive will be a sales leader within North America.  Reporting to the SVP of Sales & Business Alliances, the role will manage and drive Celerity’s value propositions to generate new customer and revenue opportunities in key enterprise accounts.


  • Aligning with the Celerity SVP of Sales to determine prospects and accounts of our Professional Services
  • Pursuing sales leads and prospective clients and networking to develop strong business relationships
  • Improving your revenue stream by close cooperation and communication with Adobe & our other partners
  • Contributing to strategic and tactical planning for our professional services practice
  • Establishing Celerity credentials, delivering presentations and pitches, and proposals
  • Regularly reviewing and adjusting your sales strategies based on shifts in marketing technology and market trends.
  • Maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions & customer buying strategies in order to negotiate and close business deals
  • Generating a pipeline of sales to attain financial objectives, and achieving and exceeding assigned sales targets
  • Analyzing existing and anticipated customer requirements and promoting Celerity’s strategic and implementation services around the Adobe Marketing Cloud
  • Maintaining up-to-date account forecasts and sales records to facilitate territory management and prospective customer contact
  • Managing contract negotiations to closure
  • Keeping informed of new services, Adobe products, and supporting technologies that may be of interest to customers of Celerity
  • 25% – 30% travel required

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 6-8+ years in a sales role in a business setting with at least three years of experience in customer-facing sales in the Marketing Automation space
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and with a team
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven success in sales — lead generation, acquisitions, relationship management, contract negotiations
  • Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations
  • Solid understanding of the sales lifecycle from beginning (lead) to the end (closed-won deal)
  • Proven history of analyzing situations, employing creative and effective decision making to resolve sales issues and achieve results
  • Ability to excel in a team environment which emphasizes total cooperation and mutual respect
  • Good operational understanding of for managing sales activities and sales reporting
  • Proven ability to engage at the most senior levels within our prospect’s organizations
