The challenge
Lending is where Celerity's relationship with Goldman Sachs began. Celerity first came in to fix data ingestion workflows built by a previous vendor, which were not loading data into Adobe Campaign correctly. Over the following years, the relationship grew to 17–18 GS lines of business, including major card and savings programs.
When GS decided to close the lending business, it laid off the in-house team overnight. The business still had to keep running for another 12 to 18 months as the portfolio wound down, with no one internal left who knew the systems.
What Celerity did
Built the original foundation. Celerity had repaired the lending ETL workflows and gone on to own template design, complex workflow development and deployment.
Stepped in as the team. After the layoffs, Celerity ran day-to-day lending communications and managed the ramp-down itself.
Protected the client's governance. Celerity insisted that a named GS owner keep final sign-off on decisions, so accountability stayed with the business.
The results
Uninterrupted lending communications through a 12–18 month wind-down, with no in-house team.
Clear decision ownership maintained, protecting GS during a sensitive exit.
Proof of the trust Celerity had earned: with its own team gone, GS handed a live business to the one partner that already knew it inside out.
